After the Storm: GHR’s Meal Pack Relief for Cyclone Ditwah Families

On December 4, 2025, GHR extended support to communities affected by Cyclone Ditwah by donating more than 1,000 freshly prepared meal packs. Led by Chairman Mr. Dasun Wickramarathna, the effort began at the Divisional Secretariat, Kolonnawa, where the first consignment was officially handed over. Distribution then continued in Mulleriyawa, with GHR team members working alongside the Sri Lanka Army to ensure families received timely assistance.

All lunch packs were prepared by Corundum Breeze Negombo, reflecting the hospitality arm’s readiness to mobilise kitchens and staff at short notice. Team members coordinated transport, assisted with orderly queues, and supported on-ground logistics so residents could collect meals with dignity and care.

GHR expresses sincere appreciation to the Divisional Secretariat, Kolonnawa, and to the Sri Lanka Army for their partnership and coordination, as well as to every volunteer who helped carry, organise, and comfort families during distribution. Moments like these underscore the strength of community and the importance of showing up together, especially when the need is most acute.
